2019 Carmenere

Just being able to get your hands on such a rare variety ups everyone’s cool quotient. Deliciously unexpected, our Carménère is both opulent and, at the same time, surprisingly delicate. Powerful flavors of rhubarb, black cherry and sage are deftly balanced with luminous structure and tannins that practically melt on contact. Fabulous and surprising, it butters you up with a lovely nose of blackberry and violets, then delights you with an unexpected lightness, while maintaining the underlying power within. An unusual and intriguing wine, it will pair with almost any meal you can dream up – from grilled cheese sandwiches, to goat cheese, to goat. It’s that good.
