This year’s Platinum is a rare debut of 100% Cabernet, showcasing the king of Napa varietals at its most intriguing and absolute finest…. An expressive vixen that leaves you wanting more, more, more, with every sip. It’s both elegant and opulent with an extraordinary purity of Cabernet that’s only possible to achieve with certain vineyards, and by those at the height of their craft.

A combination of the most unique lot from our Block 18 Caldwell Vineyard Cabernet in Coombsville with a super special lot from our Upper Range Vineyard at the tippy top of Pritchard Hill, the result is an incredibly rich, decadent and ripe Caldwell red that’s balanced by layers of mountain-air freshness and varietal purity.

Bursting with an almost dizzying array of floral aromatics, its quality is further defined by the darkest, most brooding earthy tones from our volcanic soil. A bodacious beauty, its depth and incredible fruit weight, rivaled only by Kim Kardashian’s derrière, is really what bears pointing out.

This massive wine unravels lavishly across your palate, with little explosions of blackberry, cassis and pronounced oak spice (thanks to the deft hand of our Master Cooper and his penchant for getting the toasty notes just right), that mingle with blue-blooded, mineral-driven sophistication that carries the significant, but impeccably integrated tannins and fruit all the way through its wide and lengthy finish.

The only thing you’ll regret about popping the cork on this special wine is that we only made 68 cases for the world to share.
