2022 Syrah [clone 525]

Caldwell Syrah is deliciously bawdy, varietally pure, and delivers something special in every vintage. This one deftly balances both earthbound delights that are grounded in notes of spice, mineral, red clay and a hint of savory black olive, before exploding into inexplicably ethereal realms. Delicious and decadent with opulent purple fruits and surprisingly sweet, silky tannins, and a note of caramelized sugar that the barrel toast and oak have weaved together in one purely pleasurable drink.
