2023 Pinot Noir

You know it’s good when the winemaker (who loathes hyperbole) says, “This is hands down the best Pinot Noir we’ve made to date”. Hell yes. And while it wouldn’t be Caldwell if it wasn’t bold and intense, it’s live-out-loud qualities are balanced by a pretty feminine side thanks to some lively, integrated acidity and a kiss of new French oak. Both heavenly and devilish at the same time, this beauty shines with luscious black cherries and raspberries on the nose and palate with exquisite varietal purity. Utter finesse is imbued by the cooler climates of Santa Rita Hills, that melds into the full, ripe and concentrated fruit from the Calypte Vineyard in Russian River. Totally tantalizing in every way.
